SHOVE IT TRIB!!!
The Pirates will try to get the split this afternoon against the Braves in the four-game series. Yet another outstanding performance by Oliver Perez, although this one went for naught. That Brian Giles trade looks better and better each day.
Traffic around the North Shore should be interesting today, as the Pirates traffic lets out, Pittsburgh soccer hooligans will start arriving for the Champions World Series match between Chelsea and Roma tonight. Although I’m not attending the game, I will be at a tailgate with some family members that are a bit more soccer inclined than myself!
Training camps are rolling around and the number of first round draft picks getting signed is getting higher and higher. Every report I’ve heard expects Big Ben to be at St. Vincent on time. I heard this morning where Kevin Greene will be coming in for two weeks to work with the linebackers. That’s fine, I just hope they bring someone else in to go over stopping the run!
I just love how the right have found a new whipping girl in Teresa Heinz Kerry. I guess she’s the modern day Hillary Clinton. Look, with the exception of some strong sportswriting and Mike Seate, I’d like to tell the Tribune-Review to shove it too!
I just cannot watch these conventions, too boring. I like getting highlights (or lowlights if you will) from various cable news outlets.
